Nicki Minaj launching smartphone game

Nicki Minaj says she got shafted by MTV’s ♐Video Music Awards. Maybe her new mobile🥂 gaming app will be a gold mine.

The trash-talking rapper will launch a video game for smartphones in mid-2016 in a partnership with Glu Mobile, 🐬the San Franci💧sco-based developer of the smash hit “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” which has reportedly netted its namesake star tens of millions of dollars in royalties.

Minaj𝓀, who last month tangled with Taylor Swift on Twitter about the VMA nominations, has amassed a formidable following on social media that’s equal in size to Kardashian’s — 102 million followers on Facebook༺, Twitter and Instagram.

That, in tur⛄n, will give Minaj, like Kardashian, powerful tools to promote her game without spending a lot of mone꧟y.

Separately Tuesday, Glu sai🤡d it will launch a new game next year with action star Jason Statham.

On Tuesday Glu warned sales for the second half could miss Wall Street’s forecasts as it launches new titles including a “Mission ⛦Impossible” and James Bond-themed game.

Shares of Glu, ไwhich surged this spring after the company got a big investment from Chinese app giant Tencent, fell as much as 11 percent in after-hours trading after closing down 11 cꦑents at $5.67 in the regular session.
