New Yorker Claire Danes is bacš§øk home filming the sixth season of āHomelandā ā anšd, in an exclusive look at some of the location shooting, she talks about what that feels like.
Danes praises the showās writers for āanticipatingā what is goingš to be āculturally and politically relevantā while reflecting that the city āis a crucial place in terms of our relationship to terrorism.ā
This season, Danesā character, Carrie Mathison, is living in a brownstone on beautiful Clifton Placš§øe in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Locationā manager Ryan Smith said the show is ātrying to balance iconic and local New Yorkā by going into the outer boroughs.
The behind-the-scenesļ·½ video shows an excerpt of one upcoming episode in which a SWAT team invades Carrieās duplex apartment, with members of the Emergency Services Unit scurrying across rooftops. Shāe is also seen getting out of a taxi on Broadway in Williamsburg. The first two episodes of the series also go inside the infamous Marcy Avenue housing projects.
āThe show does embrace the New York that is now. š»The challenge is making it not look like a postcard,ā Smith says.
