Jeb Bush ‘confident’ he’ll be Marlins’ owner soon

BEVERLY HILLS — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Monday he is “confident” his effort to buy the Miam🔯i🥀 Marlins will succeed.

Bush, who is part of a bidding group that includes Yankees great Derek Jeter, hopes to become the exclusive bidder for the MLB team when the auction sale is completed, he told The Post at t🍰he Milken Insti🅘tute Global Conference.

Bush said he was “c♔onfident” of becoming the exclusive bidder for the Miami Marlins ♎when speaking to The Post Monday afternoon on the seventh floor of the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The former governor and 2016 ꦆpresidential candidate was walking the hallways at the Beverl🐲y Hilton with his son — and scores of billionaires and Wall Street power brokers — when he stopped to chat about his high-profile investment move.

The Bush biddin𓆏g team is “hoping to learn sooner rather than later” if they become the winning bidder, he said.

Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred said last Thursday that two bidding groups — including the Bush/Jeter group — remain in competition to purchase the Marlins from Manhattan-based art dealer Jeffrey Loria.

Earlier reꦓports that the Marlins had chosen the Bush/Jeter group pr🅺oved incorrect.

At a BTIG Charity Day Monday in Manhattan, Derek Jeter appeared and politely declined to speak with a group of reporters including The Post. Asked whether he’s a team owner yet, Jeter half-smiled and said, “Come on, man!”

On CNBC, appearing alongside Alex Rodriguez, Jeter 🅺declined to answer questions about his pursuit of the Marlins.

“There’s absolutely nothing to add to that,” Jeter said. “The media ran with a story.”

ꦬAlso at BTIG Charity Day, Yankees former ace reliever Mariano Rivera spoke about the possibility of Jeter owning the Marlins.

“He always had that in mind. I hope that happens, because he is passionate for the game. He loves the game. This is also a business, but I hope that happens. I pray for that.”

Asked whether it would be weird for the beloved Yankee to own another team, Rivera said, “That’s fine. That’s fine for me. That’s baseball.”

Bu♉sh is competing with unsuccessful ♒2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his family’s bidding group, sources said. Mitt’s son Tagg is leading the effort, sources said.

Tagg was the head of🧜 marketing for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Mitt has long had a🔜n interest in owning a sports team, sources said.
