‘Werk It’ women’s podcast festival is coming to LA

So that is why the nation’s lead๊ing public radio station this week is taking its third annual “Werk It” women’s podcast festival to Los Aඣngeles for the first time, she told the Post.

“Wer♓k It” was established to help address the gender gap in the podcast arena, where two-thirds of top hosts are male.

The number of female podcasters is up 10 percent from previous years, but “there’s still a꧒ long way to go,” says Szuchman.

The strategy now includes LA — where “Werk It” will feature lectures, workshops and how-to sessions with top female podcasters, techies and entertainers, such as Recode’s Kara Swisher, former “Daily Show” correspondent Jessi🥀ca Williams and actor/writer Lena Waithe (“Master of None”).
