NYC weather forecast sees balmy temps after snow

Snow is expected to start falling in the city in the late evening Saturday and continue to fall through early morning, wit༒h up to 6 inches expected to blanket the city by the time the storm ends.

But by the middle of the week𒁃, we won’t even need a jacket. Temps are expected to climb to a high of 72 degrees by Wednesday.

Forecasts call for 3-to-6 inches beginning sometime after 5 p.m. and ending around s🎃unrise, as a storm makes its way through the region from the Midwest. The storm is expected to be heavy at times, with low visibility, though winds are forecast to be light.

Whatever the 🌃total snowfall, won’t stick around for long.

Almost as soon as the sun rises, temperatures are expected to start climbing as well, heralding an early surge of springlike weather that could set records by the middle of the wee♍k.

The 💟thermometer will reach the upper 40s by Sunday afternoon, said Accuweather meteorologist Dan Pydynowski.

Temps will sta꧂y in the upper 40s for the Monday holiday, with a chance of rain that could help clear away whatever snow hasn’t melted already.

By Tuesday, Pydynowski said the Central P💜ark record ♋of 69 degrees for Feb. 20, set in 1939, is in danger.

Another record is likely to fall Weꦇdnesday, when the 72-degree forecast could smash the high of 68 set in 1930.

It may seem unusual for temperatures to climb this high in February, but Pydynowski said 🔯it’s not uncommon. In fact, New York saw a similar warm stretch at the end of February last year, when it reached 70 degrees on Feb. 24.

While winter isn’t over yet, Pydynowski predicted that the rest of the month will be pretty mild. “In 🀅general, we see an above-average temperature pattern though the end of February,” he said.
