President George H.W. Bush is recovering in a Texas hospital where he was admitted and placed in intensive꧙ care after suffering an in🌟fection, it was revealed on Monday.
A statement from Bush’s office said that the 41st president went to the hospital on Sunday shortly after the funeral for former first lady Barbara Bush and that he is recovering.
“President Bush was admitted to the Houston Methodist Hospital yesterday morning after contracting an infection that spread to his blood,” the statement read.
“He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering.”
