Drunk driver chased down by onlookers after hitting parked cars

A drunk driver fled on foot after smashing into multiple parked cars in Brooklyn but was chased down and stopped by good S꧒amaritans — who hadn’t known he was carrying a loaded gun, cops said Saturday.

Andy James, 39, was driving a 2009 Jaguar north on Troy Avenue near President Street in Crown Heights around 2:30 pm on Friday when he plowed into the ꧒vehicles, police said. His car jumped the curb, narrowly mi🐟ssing pedestrians.

Several witnesses saw him run🍌ning and tackled him to the ground. Other good Samaritans helped hold him down until police arrived.

In the chaos, he dropped the firearm.

Cops found marijuana and an open con🥃tainer in his car, which didn’t have an up-to-date inspection.

James was arrested and hit with a slew of charges, including reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a loaded firearm, and operating a vehicle abov꧑e 0.8.
