Mystery Brooklyn street barber speaks out, moves locations

A Brooklyn barber whose rogue curbside salon went viral last week said Sunday he hasn’t given up his al-fresco hair-snipping operation — but he’s moved it to a new, secret location.

Joel Munoz told The Post he was forced to move his street salon to a “safer spot” after a video of him at work in Brighton Beach blew up online.

“No one had any concerns until those videos!” Munoz said.

The married dad of two said he continued working following the state’s shutdown of non-essential businesses in March — but moved his shop outside and insisted he took safety precautions.

“Everyone who was coming by was applauding me saying it’s smart, God bless you, you got family,” Munoz said.

“Cops passing by said keep everyone six feet apart. They had no problem.”

The underground barber shop doesn’t take “walk up” appointments and Munoz said he wears a mask and gloves, which he changes for each client and spends “10 minutes disinfecting everything between clients.”

But when his operation was made public, Munoz said he moved to a different outdoors spot “where no one is going to bother me” — and which he would not disclose.

He implored people to cut him some slack.

“I got a daughter, she’s two weeks old. I got a 4-year-old son and a wife. Everything I made went to Pampers and milk. All I buy is food,” he said, adding “I still gotta pay rent.”

Last week, a Long Island barber was ticketed for cutting hair in th꧅e back of his pickup truck.
