Associate of alleged Sarah Lawrence sex-cult leader may not be competent for trial: lawyer

A co-defendant of alleged Sarah Lawrence sex-cult leader Lawrence Ray may not be competent t🔯o stand trial, it was revealed Tuesday during her arܫraignment in Manhattan federal court.

Isabella Pollok pleaded not guilty to ch𝔉arges of racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, extortion conspiracy and other rapဣs for allegedly helping Ray, 60, groom college students — and force one into prostitution.

But her attorney said he thinks she may be mentally unfit for a trial — despite her objections.

“I am concerned that she ꦦmay not be co🀅mpetent to stand trial because she may not be able to assist properly in her defense,” said her attorney Peter Skinner. “We’ve discussed this at length with our client. She does not agree.”

But, he said, P𒐪ollok would be willing to voluntarily undergo a psychiatric evaluation to “get past the issue.”

US District Judge Lewis🔜 Liman ordered the parties to submit a proposed order for the mental health examination within two weeks. The attorney did not elaborate on tไhe nature of his concerns.

Liman also pushed back the pair’s Ju🌼ly trial date — bღut did not set a new date.

Pollok was recruited by Ray and allegedly helped him sexually traffic and extort former students, whom he met after moving into his daughter’s on-campus apartment in 2010.

Prosecutors allege th💞at the duo conspired to force one woman into sex work — e⛦arning them some $2 million in two years.

Ray, who was arrested in early 2020, was hit with a new indictment last month, which included additional charges, and naꦡmed Pollok as a co-defendant for the first time.
