Lindsay Lohan won’t take plea deal in necklace theft case: report

Lindsay Lohan will reportedly not take the plea deal the judge has offered her in her felony grand theft case for allegedly swiping a $2,500 necklace.

As a result, Lohan’s felony grand theft case will now be assigned to Judge Stephanie Sautner, with a preliminary hearing set for April 22, reported today.

Had LiLo taken the deal, she could have gotten as much as 90 days in jail in the LA County jail.

Judge Keith Schwartz warned Lohan three weeks ago that he would sentence her to jail time had she accepted the deal offered by prosecutors.

Lohan had until today to decide whether or not she wanted to cop a plea.

But Lohan, 24, faces time behind bars if the judge decides if the “Mean Girls” star violated her probation violation stemming from a DWI case that dates back to 2007.

Lohan would face additional prison time should she be convicted of stealing the necklace at trial.

Surveillance footage that has aired on “Entertainment Tonight” captured Lohan’s exit from Kamofie & Co. in Venice, Calif., on Jan. 22, when she allegedly made off with a $2,500 chain.

Store owner Sofia Kaman is seen smiling widely as she opens the front door for the actress, who can clearly be seen wearing the disputed necklace.

Lohan was charged with felony grand theft raps after Kaman and her husband reported the necklace stolen.

Kaman wants to hawk the necklace for charity, but she might not be able hold an auction for months, because the evidence is in the hands of the DA and would be held throughout any trial.
