LOS ANGELES — Former MLB star Lenny Dykstra, who was recently charged with bankruptcy fraud, was also being investigated by the LAPD for lewd conduct, TMZ reported Monday.
According to law enforcement officials, Dykstra, 48, stood accused of stripping off in front of a woman applying to become his housekeeper and requesting a massage.
The 47-year-old applicant claims Dykstra told her rub downs would be within her brief at his home and got naked in preparation for her to display her skills.
She reportedly refused and left the property before reporting the incident to police. The website reported she later hired an attorney to begin legal proceedings.
Dykstra, a former outfielder for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, was already facing substantial legal difficulties with his recent fraud charges.
He allegedly sold items from his $18 million mansion in southern California without permission.
Dykstra, who filed for bankruptcy in July 2009, allegedly removed, destroyed and sold property that was part of the bankruptcy estate without the permission of the trustee, according to Department of Justice officials.
If convicted, the former three-time All-Star could face up to five years in a federal prison.
