A passenger aboard an Alitalia flight from Paris to Rome last night attacked a flight attendant — with a nail-clipper — and demanded the plane be diverted to Libya before other attendants subdued him, the airline said.
The flight, carrying 131 passengers, landed safely.
Alitalia didn’t identify the passenger.
But the Italian news agency ANSA reported that he was a middle-aged man from Kazakhstan with no criminal record.
