Santa Claus called to jury duty

Santa Claus might be tཧhe most beloved man in the w𒈔orld — but he still gets called to jury duty.

The Long Islander whose legal name is Santa Claus was summoned to Suffolk County Criminal Court last week to perform his constitutionally mandated duty — and like most civic-minded Americans, he ওshowed up, sans sleigh.

“W๊hen I got there, the police were like, ‘Am I on the naughty or nice list?’ 𒅌” Claus, 54, told The Post. “My reply was, ‘If you have to ask, you already know.’ ”

But Claus — a Copiague resident who changed his name from Frank Pascuzzi in February 2012 because 🧔of his annual gigs as the jolly old elf — had to put his list aside for most of the day, as well as take time off from his day job at a sprinkler company.

He left most of the red suit at home.

“I wore blue jeans and my green sneakers, a red dress shirt that just happened♔ to have me, my sleigh and the eight reindeer on t💖he back — nothing overboard,” he said.

“I wasn’t going to wear the suit — they’d lock me up,” he recalled. “I’m not going to tempt fate.”

The case he was called for 💯— an alleged murder — was dismisse🐼d.

“It wasn’t just because I was Santa Claus I got off — everyone else got off, too,” he said.
