Clark’s leasing SoHo space

Clark’s is putting its best foot forward f♛or its first Soho store.

The 185-year-old shoe brand, which is also ﷽sold in many department stores, is leasing 7,600 square feet for a mid-block store that runs 200 feet from 547 Broadway to 118 Mercer St.

The two-level, two-street space provides options for various configurations in the future. Cla🌼rk’s, which owns Bostonian and other labels, has 900 outlets that sell🌱 50 million pairs of shoes a year.

Matt Cohen and Alan Victor of the Lansco Corp. represented Clark’s.

Mark Tergesen, John Brod and Robert Kempner of ABS worked for the building’s ownership, which has one of the few properly legal retail stores in Soho. The asking rent was $2.2 millio🍰n per year. Generally, asking rents are $700 to $750 per foot in that area of Broadway, whil꧟e Mercer garners just $200 to $300 per foot.

Clark’s currently has two stဣores in Manhattan and one each in Brooklyn and Quee🤪ns, but many retail partners.
