More than 100 vehicles involved in massive UK pile-up

More than 100 vehicles were i𝓡n𓆉volved in a collision on a fog-covered bridge in southeast Britain, injuring 200 people, six of them seriously, police said.

Police were called at about 7:1ℱ5 a.m. local time to the crash on the New Kingsferry Bridge in Sheppey, which is located in the southeast Englisꦅh county of Kent.

“At this stage it is unknown exactly how many vehicles are involved, but early reports suggest more than 100 vehicles,” Kent Police said in a statement.

“There are reports of six serious injuries and 200 minor injuries.”

Officers confirmed there had been no fatalities.

Eyewitness Martin Stammers, 45, told Kent Online: “It’s horrific. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.

“All you could hear was cars crashing. We got out of our car and it was eerily quiet, with visibility down to just 20 yards.”
