Man declared dead is very much alive

He’s a dead man suing.

As far as the 🅰city is concerned, a Bronx man has been dead for nearly four years — a prob♌lem for the very much alive, married father of two.

Juan Antonio Arias, 57, says he’s not the Juan Arias who died at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in March 2009 and has no idea why his Social Security number, fulꦺl name and date of birth were put on a death certificate.

Arias didn’t even know what happened until 2010, when his Medicaid benefits were cut off. His credit cards were also canceled and bank accounts closed༺.

But one good tꦬhing happened — taxes he paid were sent back, he said♑.

Two previous lawsuits were d🐼ismissed — one because his lawyer failed to show up in court; the other because the attorney missed a legal deadline.

Arias sued again last month, and a city lawyer said he just has to present proof of hisജ identity to win that one.
