Record ratings for ‘Sons of Anarchy’ season six premiere

“Sons of Anarchy” returned to big numbers Tuesday night on FX.

The show’s sixth-season opener snared nearly 6 million viewers from 10 to 11:30 p.m., up from 5.3 million who tuned in to watch last season’s premiere.

FX officials expect those numbers to grow — making the episode the biggest-rated telecast in FX history once “Live+7” data (DVR viewership, On Demand, etc.) is factored in.

“Sons” was Tuesday night’s number- one show — broadcast and cable — in adults 18-49, 18-34, 25-54 and men 18-49.

Series star Charlie Hunnam (Jax) recently won the coveted role of Christian Grey in the big-screen adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

He will co-star in t😼he movie with Dakota Johnson, the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.

“Sons of Anarchy” will wrap its seven-season run next year.
