Four dogs in Ohio have died of a mystery illness — and a 🦄New York researcher i💮s on the case.
The pooches may have died from a “circovirus,’’ which causes symptoms includ👍ing vomiting, bloody diarrhea, weight loss, lethargy and fluid around the lungs.
The rare but invariably fatal disease was d🍸iscovered last year by Dr. Amit Kapoor of Columbia University, who was trying to figure out whꩲat killed several dogs in New York state.
He said it’s uncleaಞr how the disease spreads but noted many of the Ohio victims caught it while they were boarding in kennels. The vir🌄us is more common in pigs.
