Stapš les and RadioShack have removed Amazon.com lockers from their stores after the partnership failed to meet expectationšs.
The retailers began testing a system last year in which Amazon shoppers could have a Web order delivered to a store and then pick it up for no extra cost. ą¹This allowed customers, especially urban apartment dwellers, to avoid having to be home to recź§eive a package or risking a delivery being stolen.
Staples šøended the test after it ādidnāt meet the criteria we set up together,ā said Demos Parneros, Staples president of North American stores and online. A Rą¦adioShack spokeswoman said it didnāt fit with company strategy.
