The wheelcš°hair-bound bandit who has been stealing womenāsā purses from high-end Midtown restaurants and hotels has been caught, authorities said.
Matias šMoreno-Boza, 25, was arrested Friday and charged with four thefts dating back to last monthā.
In all šof the incidents, the disabled thief rolls up to next to the unsuspecting women and takes their bags before wheeling himself out of sight, cops said.
Moreno-Boza first struck Aug. 19 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel on Broadway when he wheeled into in the lobby and loitered, pretendingš to be a guest, cops said.
He made his way over to a woman checking in at the front desk, snatched her bag without her noticing, and rolled out the door, making off with $300 in cash and a $5š00 gift card, police say.
The crook was at it again on Aug. 30 at the upscale Nobu 57 restaurant on West 57th Street aź¦t around 11 p.m., when he rolled over to a female diner and stole her leather Coach satchel.
Moreź¦no-Boza then used the womanās American Express card to buy food ašt a nearby pizza joint.
Four days later he stošle a šÆ40-year-old womanās purse from Havana Central on West 46th Street at around 10 p.m.
The victim placed her purse on an empty chaāir before getting up to dance, cops said. Thatās when Moreno-Boza made his way over to her table and gršabbed her bag, making off with $115 and some credit cards.
The last known theft he committed was Sept. 6 at Txilkito on ąµ²Ninth Avenue when he stole a 35-year-old womanās Gucci bag from the back of her chair while the victim was eating dinš¦©ner, cops said.
Moreno-Boza engaged the woman in conversation before š„removing the purse and rolling out of the restaurant with an išPhone, $150 and credit cards.
He was charged with four counts of grand larceny, cops saidš„.
