The Sumitomo Corp. of ꦑAmerica is finally expanding at 300 Madison Ave. once it relocates from the narrower 600 Third Ave.
The move also allows the Japanese trading house to🥂 consolidate on two floors after being spread across seven floors.
Earlier this year, SCOA inked a 98,454-square-fo𝕴ot, 11-year sublease from CIBC for the entire third and fourth floors of 300 Madison at E. 42nd Street.
The company will move from its current 74,000 square feet🍎 into its new digs in November.
The 35-story, 1.1 million- square-foot office buil🥃ding was to be developed by Harry Macklowe but Brookfield Office Properties bought the site, added to the assemblage and completed the job designed by architects Skidmore Owniཧngs & Merrill.
Tenant Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce had leased the entire building but quickly subleased 800,000 square fee🐎t to PricewaterhouseCoopers.
