Anderson Cooperâs creepy stalker Alex Hausner broke down in tears ā´Tuesday when a Manhattan Supreme Cođŧurt judge told him he was found mentally unfit for trial.
âThe doctors have found you not competent to proceed and if those findings are confirmed you’ll be committed to the Department of Mental Hygiene,â Justice Charles Solomon told Hausner as tears streamed down his face.
The usually mouthy loon was sedate and sad as he scanned the gallery for his mother Lori Hausner who drove from Charlotđte, N.C., to support him.
âHe needs long-term psychiatric help,â she said. âHe believes people are telling hiđŗm he has to protect Anderson.â
She said her son, diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia at agđģe 12, has been obsessed with the dreamy newsman for years.
The 38-year-old Astoria man waged a campaign of harassment against Cooper and boyfriend Benjamin Maisani, between January 1 and June 30. He was ęĻŦarrested July 27 and charged with menacing, stalking, harassment and aggravated harassment and has been accused of making unwelcome phone calls and visits to the hunky silver-haired anchor at his work and home since 2008.
In the most recent incident, Hausner showed up at Cooperâs converted firehouse and kicked the red lacquered front door repeatedly yelling. âI swear to f–king God, donât insult me,â he shouted. âIâm going to f-k you up!â
âI have a crush on Anderson, heâ is not in any danger,â the deluded Hausner told cops when he was arrested July 27. Heâs charged with felony menacing, stalking and harassment.
