Map app wins MTA contest

Talk about pocket money.

Citymapper — a phone app th🐷at allows riders to plan their trips using real-time subway and bus info, as well as Citi Bike and weather information — scored the grand prize in the 2013 MTA AT&T App Quest contest Tuesday.

The winning developers and designer, who originally created the app for London, walked away with $20,000 for the top prize, plus $2,000 for winning in t♒he “Wish List”ꦰ category.

The Subculture.FM app, which connects riders with mu🗹sicians on the subway, scored second place.

“We’re amaz𝄹ed by the creativity we’ve seen from the development community,” ꧂said MTA Chairman Thomas Prendergast.
