Kenya thugs blow smoke, say rescuers’ ‘gas’ killed hostages

The terrorists who laid siege to a Nairobi mall claim 137 hostages were killed when a Kenyan government assault team unleashed “chemical gaꦿses” during a “demolition” that caused part of the building to colla🐷pse.

“Having failed to defeat the mujahideen inside the mall, the Kenyan govt disseminated chemical gases to end the siege,” the al Qaeda-linked terror group al-Shabab posted on what is believed to be a legitimate Twitt🎃er account.

Kenyan officials quickly denied the claim.

“Al-Shabab is known for wild allegations, and there is no truth to what they’re saying,” government spokesman 🧜Manoah Esipisu tꦆold The Associated Press.

Kenya police responded to the al-Shahab claim with a tweet that read: “W🐬e would like to reiterate that it’s paramount we ignore TOTALLY the enemy with their propaganda. If w☂e listen, we will have failed.”

Esipisu said no chemical weapons were used in the hostage-rಞescue effort, and reiterated that the collapse of the floors occurred after the jihadis set a fire in the five-story, 3🌞50,000-square- foot shopping complex.

Esipisu said the fire set by the terrorists weakened a third-floor parking lot, which collapsed ont🅠o the second floor, which then came down on the 🦹ground floor.

The collapse killed eight people, who are included in the official death record, Esipisu said🅺, adding that there could also be terrorists still in the rubble.

He said the official civilian death toll remains at 61, but officials have said the tally will probably rise by as many as dozens of bodies that are believed to be still inside the luxury Westga🙈te Mall.

In its tweets about the allegedly crushed hostages, the terror group did not specify what gases the Kenyans purportedly🌳 used.

Gunshots echoing from inside the mall Wednesday werಞe fired by government forces firing protectively as they went from room to room after taking control of the mall.

“During ‘sanitization,’ once you take control of the place, if you go to a room where you haven’t visited before, you shoot first to make sure you aren’t walking into an ambush,” Esipis🎐u said. “Butღ there hasn’t been any gunfire from the terrorists for more than 36 hours.”

“The mall is sealed off. It is a crime scene.”
