We have to crack down on biker gangs: De Blasio

Democratic mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio — who’s been calling on the NYPD to ease off on its stop-and-frisk program — says police have to take a tougher stance when it comes to biker gangs.

“We have to crack down on this,” de Blasio said Thursday.

“It’s not legal to disrupt traffic, it’s not legal obviously to take the law into your own hands as they appear to have to have done. So I think right now the police need to be tougher on this situation. If we need new laws to address it, we should go ahead with that. But this is simply not acceptable behavior,” he said during an appearance on WINS radio.
