Josh Groban will host “Rising Star,” ABC’s new summer singing talent show, the 🃏network announced Fri✤day.
Joining Groban on “Rising Star” — which premieres Sunday,𓂃 June 22 — will be judges Kesha, Brad Paisley and Ludacris.
On the show, adapted from Israeli TV, viewers will vote fo🀅r ওtheir favorites in real time via an App, in order to determine which singer will continue on to the next round.
During the show, each perfo🐷rmer can also see how viewers are voting — ratcheting up the tension.
“Rising Star” is executive-produced by former “American Idol” EP Ken Wa🍃rwick — and joins “Idol” and “The Voice” on the current roster of TV 𒁃singing competition shows.
Ludacris is ꦇhosting the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, which air this Sunday on ABC; on that telecast, he’ll be joinedꦛ by Groban, Paisley and Kesha to promote “Rising Star.”
