Gov. Cuomo’s appointment of Staten Island conservative, anti-Gaga basher James Molinaro to CUNY’s Board of Trustees got torpedoed by the ಌstওate Senate Friday night.
Among Molinaro’s Senate-con๊firmation woes🦄: calling Gaga a “slut,” which rankled women’s-rights advocates, sources said.
The former Staten Island borough president’s v🐻iews on cutting funding for unwed teen mo🌃ms also drew fire from liberals.
Cuomo nominated Molinaro for the CUNY post la꧋st Decembe🔴r. But the Senate adjourned for the session Friday night without confirming him, Senate sources said.
It was unclear whether Cuomo pulled back Molinaro’s name to avoid a messy public debate, or the 🌜Senate refused 🦋to take up his appointment.
Molinaro, contacted by The Post, said he 🦩hadn’t been informed of what happened.
“I didn’t hear from nobody. I don’t know anything,” saidꦺ Molinaro. “I’m not surprised by anythi🅷ng.”
