‘Nashville’ returns with answers for lots of cliffhanger questions

Warning: This article contains spoilers

May’s “Nashville” season finale posed several cliffhanger questions: Who would Rayna choose — Luke or Deacon ? Would Avery forgive Juliette for sleeping with slimy record exec Jeff Fordham? Would Scarlett really leave Nashville? And how w✅ould Layla react to finally learning Will is gay?

Well, Wednesday’s Season 3 premiere answered all those questions — and then some — in an episode that also featured three live performances. Here’s a lo🥃ok at the premiere’s four most shocking moments.

Rayna makes her decision

As star Charles Esten hinted to The Post, “Nashville” didn’t draw out the decision — by the end of the hour, Rayna (Connie Britton) chose to accept her country-music-star boyfriend Luke’s (Will Chase) marriage proposal. But that was only after a heartbreaking conversation with her longtime love Deacon (Esten), who pleaded with her that he wasn’t the same man who had broke✨n her heart so many times.

But is wishy-washy Rayna really going to stick with Luke? Her deep-in-thought gaze at the end of the episode says this woman’s heart ꦺmay still be up for grabs.

Juliette finds out she’s pregnant

Well, we can’t say we didn’t see this one coming. Soon after Juliette slept with Jeff (Oliver Hudson), she had an “I-think-I’m-going-to-be-sick” (the tell-tale sign in movies and TV that someone is preggers) moment; 𓄧plus, star herself.

But now the question is, who’s the baby daddy — Jeff (Oliver Hudson) or ex-boyfriend Avery (Jonathan ൲Jackson🧸)?

Will and Layla get blackmailed

When Will (Chris Carmack) finally came out of the closet to wife Layla (Aubrey Peeples) at the end of last season, it seemed these two could f𒉰inally end their sham relationship and go their separate ways. But it turns out reality-show contracts are harder to get out of than marriages.

When the unhappy couple tells producers they want out of the show bec💟ause they’re splitting up, the producer threatens to out Will with the secret footage they filmed of his confession to Layla.

Scarlett leaves Nashville — but not alone

Scarlett high-tailed it out of Nashville, but didn’t flee solo.ABC

You can take the girl out of Nashville — 💝but you apparently can’t stop her friends and former lovers from following her. After Scarlett (Clare Bowen) packs up her car to head home to Mississippi, a drunk and heartbroken Avery asks to hitch a ride out of town to escape Juliette. Then, just as she’s about to pull away, Gunnar (Sam Palladio) hops in the back and begs her to stay and keep writing music.

When he refuses to get out, Scarlett simply drives off with hi꧂m in the car, setting up what could be a very awkward road tri♊p if both Avery and Gunnar try to win back their former flame.
