Cops seized a sex toy and about 10 used condoms from the penthouse apartment of lawyer Sanford Rubenstein, law-enforcement sources told The Post on Tuesday — as the woman who’s accused Rubenstein of raping her met with Manhattan prosecutors over her stunning allegations.
Police were testing the sex toy for possible DNA from the alleged vi🍎ctim, sources said.
The💮 condoms w💙ere found in a garbage can, and some were bloody, sources said.
Rubenstein’s accuser went to the hospital Friday because she was still bleeding more than 36 hours after the alleged attack, according to sources.
The 42-year-old woman, a retail exec who is also a top aide to Rubenstein pal Al Sharpton, refused to comment Tuesday as she emerged from the Manhattan DA’s offices with her lawyer, Keith White, around 12:30 p.m.
Sources have told The Post that Rubenstein is 🐷an aging, skirt-chasing lothario who relies on his wealth and notoriety to seduce the much-younger gals he favors — tall, tough, tattooed types.
“The guy’s hung like a cashew,” a source said Monday of Rubenstein, with a neighbor adding that the 70-year-old lawyer relies on amenities such 𒅌as stretch limos to attract women.
Rubenstein is under criminal investigation in the alleged rape ✤of a retail exec and National Action Network official after the Rev. Al Sharpton’s 60th-birthday party last week, but he haꦑsn’t been charged.
He is frequently seen squiring around women barely out of their teens, the 𓃲longtime neighbor said.
“Not the kind of women you’d expect. He uses the penthouse and the limo to [ꦰattract] them,” said the neighbor outside Rubenstein’s East 64th Street building.
“Every time I see him, he wants to tell me ⛦about his latest ménage à trois. It’s alꦜl about sex with this guy. He’s a real p- - -y hound.”
Sources said Rubenstein began his sexcapades decades ago — and “has nꦇot chan🌃ged” a bit since.
“He’s off the wall. He’ll pop Viagra,” for the la𓃲dies, one source claimed.
Rubenstein is accused of raping a 42-year-old woman — a top aide to Sharpton — while s�ꦰ�he was passed out drunk in his apartment early Thursday.
Rubenstein and the woman had boꩵth partied earlier at Sharpton’s star-studded bash at the Four Seasons restaurant.
In a sign of how seriously the NYPD is taking the case, Deputy Chief Michael ꦏOsgood,ꩲ who runs both the Hate Crimes Task Force and Special Victims Division, personally supervised the search.
Rubenstein remained holed up in his apartment all day Monday but was visited s🌸everal times by his own high-powered defense attorney, Benjamin Brafman.
Brafman helped former International Monetary Fund chief Domininque Strauss-K💜ahn beat charges that he sexually attacked a hotel maid in 2011.
In describing Rubenstein’s wild side, a source said he is a regular at 🅠a “low-life, after-hours strip club” in Hell’s Kitchen that specializes in black and Hispanic dancers who are “very muscular” and “covered in tattoos.”
Rubenstein, who was at the club two months ago, either brings women to the club or picks them𒉰 up there — usually focusing on those 5-foot-11 or taller, the source said.
“One time, the owner of t🎶he club s🎐aid to me, ‘Hey isn’t this guy some famous lawyer?’” the source recalled.
“He was all dressed up in a scarf a🌜nd suit and was dancing wi༺th a gal who looks like she can knock out Mike Tyson.”
Sources said Rubenstein used to spen𒁏d so much time at jiggle joint Scores that all the strippers there knew him by na🎃me.
“Every girlಞ would be like, ‘Hi Sandy!’ ” a source༺ said.
Rubenstein was such a fan of Scores that he even asked an artist friend to pr🦩oduce a series of paintings commemorating the place — with one showing Rubenstein getting a rubdജown, a source alleged.
Rubenstein, a former Rockland County legislator, also used to brag to pals that he had lent out his luxurious penthouse to♔ then-Rockland DA Ken Gribetz for kinky, cross-dressing trysts, sources said.
Gribetz resigned in disgrace in 1995 over a federal tax-evasion case that exposed his penchant for wearing women’s clothing while ser🌄ving as a “sex slave” for his longtime mistress.
While Rubenstein is frequently seen at news confere🐎nces in flashy, peake♏d-lapel suits, he usually wears tight jeans and T-shirts in his off-hours, his neighbor said.
“He dresses like a hipster kid, like the [women] he’s trying to [attract],” the n🗹eighbor added.
A lawye🦋r representing the rape accuser blasted sources close to Rubenstein who leak🍌ed allegations that the pair had twice engaged in consensual sex in his apartment.
“We live in a city where powerful suspecജts have used their power to discredit an individual,” said the woman’s lawyer, Kenneth Montgomery.
“She’s having a tough 🐻time seeing her character be assassinated. . . . She did not have consensual sex with Sanford Rubenstein, ever,” he added.
But Brafman repeated his contention that Rube🦩nstein wouldn’t be charged with any crimes.
He refused to comment on “any aspect of Rubenstein’s life not directly related to these allegations, even wh✤en they are🅺 patently false.”
