MTA bus driver fainted behind the wheel

An MTA bus driver fainted behind the wheel Wednesday, causing him to lose control and crash into a tree on the Upper East Side — injuring himself and two others, authorities said.

The accident happened just after 9 a.m. whe🌳n the bus driver suddenly passed out and careened off the street and into the tree on East 76th Street and Fifth Avenue, according 🦹to police.

A passenger and the bus driver, who have not been identified, were rushed to Lenox Hill Hospital where they are listed in stable conditiꦦon, cops said.

Another passenger was taken to to NYU Langon✤e Medical Center with minor injuries and three others refused medica𒆙l attention at the scene, authorities and cops said.

There is no criminality at this time and it wasn’t immediately clear if the MTA driver has an existing medical condition, cops said.
