Uber’s suspended bases to re-open

Uber’s bases in New York that were suspended when the company refused to submit their trip data records to the city have re-opened, authorities said.

The smartphone app compan🅠y filed an appeal on Wednesday with the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings after the bases had been shut down the day before.

The Taxi and Limousine Commission has given the Weiter, Hint🀅er, Schmecken, Danach, and Unter bases a temporary license until an aꦉppeal decision is reached, a spokesman said.

The agency had requested trip data from 16 bases between April and September, including five of Uber’s TLC-licensed bases.

The other ba🌜ses complied, but Uber refused to hand them over and said it would violate their constitutional rigꦅhts.

The TLC needs theꦑ data t꧑o make policy decisions, as well as investigate passenger complaints.
