ABC puts an ‘American Crime’ under the microscope

Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton play the victim’s divorced and estranged parents who discover their son may not have been innocent.

Ellie Kemper (“The Office”) stars as a wide-eyed woman who lived in a cult for the last 15 years and decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City. The series is created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock of “30 Rock” and co-stars Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess, fellow alums of the NBC comedy.
