The second lives of ‘Game of Thrones’ killed-off actors

Death never takes a holiday on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Karma is real and the Grim Reaper c🐻an jet from Meereen to King’s Landing and Braavos and back again — laying waste to lives and dynasties. Luckily, the actors who hav🦹e departed so hastily from the series, now in its fifth season, have bounced back in other TV shows and movies that are filmed around the world. Here’s where you can see them next.

Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark)

After Catelyn’s untimely demise during ✤the Red Wedding, Fairley picked up two series, almost back-to-back: “24: Live Another Day,” where she played assassin Margot Al-Harazi, and “Resurrection,” where she played Margaret Langston, a spooky woman who returned from the dead in a town where such rebounds have become commonplace. Next up for the Irish actress: a role in Ron Howard’s “Moby Dick” drama “In the Heart of the Sea.”

Sean Bean (Ned Stark)

Bean was one of the first Starks to go to the other side, but he hasꦍ not been forgotten, neither on the series nor in real life. He is currently starring on the TNT series “Legends” as Martin Odum, an FBI agent who is something of a shape-shifter. He is also filming a movie, “Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt,” based on the Anne Rice (“Interview With the Vampire”) novel 𝓡about the early life of Jesus Christ.

Richard Madden (Robb Stark)

Like Catelyn, Robb met his demise at the Red Wedding (who didn’t?).🏅 Madden has since been seen as Prince Charming in this year’s remake of “Cinderella,” starring Lily James. He will next be seen in the British miniseries “Lady Chatterley’s Lover,” based on the steamy classic by D.H. Lawrence. He will play the lover, not Lady Chatterley.

Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister)

After suffering the most ignominious death possible (on the toilet), Dance left the “Game” with his dignity mostly intact. This spring he will be seen in the movie “Child 44,” which stars Tom Hardy as a military policeman who investigates a series of child murders in Stalin-era Russia. He starts production on the movie “Me Before You,” about the relationship between a small-town girl and a recently paralyzed man, opposite his🎀 “Game” co-star Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), this year.

Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell)

Few actors had a more memorable “Thrones” death than Pedro Pascal. As Prince Oberyn Martell, he fell at 🎐the hands of the Mountain, who crushed his head. Pascal’s karmic reward was a role in the forthcoming Netflix series “Narcos,” about the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Rory McCann (Sandor “The Hound” Glehane)

The Hound met his untimely end last season; McCann’s next s💖eries is the BBC’s “Banished,” about British convicts who have been sent to Austral💃ia as punishment for their crimes.
