Floyd Mayweather Jr. saidཧ he thinks Manny𓆏 Pacquiao is full of it.
In an interview with Showtime’s Jim Gray which will air Saturday night, Mayweather, who on Tuesday said he was open to the possibility of a rematch when Pacquiao 🐓is healthy, was singing an entirely different tune with Gray.
“Did I text [ESPN’s] Stephen A. Smith and say I 💫will fight him again? Yeah, but I changed my mind,🌳” Mayweather said. “At this particular time, no, because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward. … If you lost, accept the loss and say, ‘Mayweather, you were the better fighter.’ ”
In remarks made to FightHype.com, Mayweather went so far as to suggest Pacquiao i🌠s “worthy” of being on an undercard — a huge slap in the face.
Mayweather also blasted 💟Pacquiao’s claim he was injured.
“Excuses, excuses, excuses,” railed Mayweather, who defeated Pacquiao by unanimous decision Saturday night. “I’m not going to buy into the bull—-. … And I don’t want the public to buy into the bull—-. … I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this.”
After the fight, Pacquiao said he had an ailing shoulder. He had arthroscopic surgery on a torn rot🌄ator cuff on Wednesday in Los Angeles. He is est⛦imated to be unable to fight for nine to 12 months.
But Mayweather said “absolutely not,” 🐻when asked if he could sense anything wrong with Pacquiao’s shoulder during the fight.
“He was fa🌳st,” Mayweather said. “His left hand was f▨ast. His right hand was fast and he was throwing them both fast and strong.”
Pacqౠuiao did not properly disclose his injury — sustained 2¹/₂ weeks before the bout — to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Had he done so, he likely would have been able t🗹o receive an anti-inflammatory injection the night of the fight. Because he did not, his request for a shot was denied.
“I look forward to Pacquiao fighting on the undercard,” Mayꩵweather told FightHype.com. “We could fight on pay-per-view on a doubleheader. I think we both can make some good money. He can fight somebody solid, I can fight somebody solid.”
