Man sucker punches cop during arrest

An attack on two police officers was caught on video as they attempted tošŸŒœ make anšŸŒŗ arrest in Harlem Friday night.

The 36-second ceā•llphone video starts off with a man pushing a cop from the 32nd Precinct trying to handcuff his sister near 144th Street and 8th Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

ā€œThatā€™s my sister,ā€ the man, identą¹„ified as cops as Terrell Mitchell, 26, can be hšŸ¦‚eard yelling before he sucker punches the male officer twice in the back of the head, knocking off his glasses.

According to police, Mitchell’s sister, Asia Banks interfered and started pushing cops after they stopped her brother for having an open bottle of Hennessy cognac.

Banks, 38, then started to resist and bešŸ…·gan pushing officers, at one point reaching for a female officerā€™s gun in her holster, cops said.

The video shows Banā™•ks grabbing the hands of the officer as she places her hand over her weapon.

ā€œThis could have turned out ź¦Ædifferently had she grabbed the weapon,ā€ a law enforcement source said.

Mitchell, who fled into the nearby Drew Hamilton Houses where he lives with his sister, was later caught and charged wšŸŒžith assault on a police officer, obstruction of governmental administration and criminal possession of a weapon for having a razor blade in his pocket, cops said.

Banks was also charged with assault on a police officer, obstructionā™” of governmental administration and resisting arrest.

BotšŸh officers were taken to area hospitals and treated for minor injšŸ„€uries.
