DOT set to roll out upgraded Muni-Meters

Drivers will soon be able to pre-pay Muni-Meters citywide up to an hour before enforcement goes into ef꧋fec🧸t, the DOT said on Wednesday.

Mo𒆙torists can purchase a receipt one hour before, and then pay only for the time 🐓their cars are parked during regulations hours.

The DOT said if ♕a meter goes into effect at 9, drivers can p🧸urchase a receipt one hour before but only pay for the time their car is parked.

All city meters will be changed by mid-July.

The city also began🐲 deactivating Muni-Meters last summer when parking rules don’t apply.

B🔥rooklyn Councilman David Greenfield passed legislation on both meter upgrades in June 2013. The city was given two years to implement the chan🍃ges.

Other Muni-Meter legislation recently proposed includes a bill that would spare drivers from paying for 15 minutes when there’s only a few minutes left before parking 🥃rules end.
