The MTA’s massive project to bring the LIRR to Gra📖nd Central Terminal, already delayed, is hitting a new 🐻snag because of its $14 billion capital-plan deficit.
It does not yet have th♏e money for a contract that i💯ncludes the architecture of the new terminal and tracks in the new tunnel, as well as elevators and escalators.
“We’ve had discu🉐ssions amongst ours🍰elves of how long we can hang on without a capital plan approved,” said MTA board member Susan Metzger.
“I think this is your first glimpse 💟of how long we can hang on.”
