Kevin Love is returning to the Cavaliers

Kevin Love is staying in Cleveland.

The free agent forward on The Players’ Tribune in a short piece entitled “Unfinished Business.”

According to multiple reports, the deal is .

Love, who sustained a season-ending dislocated shoulder in the first round of the playoffs and missed the Cavaliers’ run to Game 6 of the NBA Finals, said sitting on the sideline during so much of the postseason made him want to return to Cleveland to finish what they started.

“After Game 1 of the NBA Finals, that’s when it really struck me,” Love wrote. “Sitting on the sidelines, I never wanted to play in a game more than that one. I had dreamed of playing in the NBA Finals and I just wanted to help my guys win.

“Yeah, of course I’ve heard the free agency rumors. But at the end of the day, and after meeting with my teammates (it turns out pools are great meeting places) and with the front office, it was clear Cleveland was the place for me. We’re all on the same page and we’re all in. We have unfinished business and now it’s time to get back to work.”

Love was traded to Cleveland last year from the Timberwolves in exchange for top overall pick Andꦛrew Wiggins. It wa🅠s an up-and-down season for Love, who averaged 16.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game during the regular season, but at times didn’t seem to fit in with LeBron James and his new teammates.

Love repeatedly said during the year he planned to resign with the Cavaliers. True to his woܫrd, he will💦.
