Murder suspect slugs lawyer after he’s found not guilty

Moments after a Manhattan jury found a man not guilty of murdering his 9-year-old cousin — by reason of mental defect — he slugged his defense lಞawyer in the jaw Wednesday when he lea𒊎rned he wouldn’t be set free.

Attorney Fred Sosinsky said 💎that his client, Alejandro Morales, 30, belie🌃ved he’d get to walk out of court after hearing the not-guilty verdict.

But when Sosinsky explained to Morales he’d be he✤ading to a꧑ hospital — possibly for life — the violent psycho socked him.

“Then all hell broke lꦇoose,” Sosinsky said. About 15 court officers descended on the wild defendant, who was violently flailing his arms. Although the jurors had already left the courtroom, some returned after hearing the commotion.

Despite s🥀uffering a “swollen lip 🃏and cheek,” Sosinsky said he was “thrilled with the verdict.”

And added that Morales’ behavior further proved hisꦚ case — although it might have upset his recent root canal.

“My client’s actions follow the verdict and bespeak the degree of volatility and th🐓e severity of his mental illness,” the lawyer s🐭aid.

“I’m not [pressing charges] because I’m confidant that this is a result of — as I argued to the jury — a dangerously mentally ill person who needs to be in a secure psychiatric facility, not a state prison.”

Morales fatally stabbed his cousin in a fight over an Xbox game in ღ2010. The erratic defendant appeared in court during the three-week trial in the same reeking T-shirt and sweat💜s.

It took jurors a little over a day to find him not guilty of murder and not responsible by reason of me꧅ntal defect for manslaughter.
