A married couple has sued the NYPD, claiming that a cop killed their dog during a fruitless search for drugs in the Bronx co𒐪mmunity garden where they were tending crops.
The gunfire rang out during an August 2012 search of the garden, according to the Manhattan federal suit filed by couple Sarah Ramos and An꧃gel Suaꩵrez.
“Several police officers in plain clothes r✅uꦆshed into the garden brandishing guns . . . Sarah’s dog was frightened by the commotion and ran under a shed,” the court papers state.
“One of the police officers then fired approximately seven shots at Sarah’s do🅺g, killing it.”
A city Law Department spokesman sai🎉d the allegations would be reviewed.
