Celeb lawyer sues co-owner of his soccer club for $5 million

A powerhouse Manhattan lawyer is suing the co-owner of his struggling Italian soccer club for allegedly stiffing him on salary and other promised funding.
 
Joe Tacopina, who has represented the likes of Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez, partnered with Canadian dairy heir Joey Saputo to take over the Bologna Football Club in December 2014.
 
Saputo reওneged on promises to pay Tacopina up to $900,000 a year as club pr𝓰esident and to finance the team, alleges Tacopina’s $5 million Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.
