Manhattan federal judge Shira Scheindlin — who infamous🍒ly ruled “Stop and Frisk” was unconstituღtional — ripped into a married couple and their attorn🧔ey Tuesday for trying to game the court system in a domes🐼tic-violence case.
“Litigation is not a෴ sport; litiﷺgation is not a lottery,” Scheindlin fumed, in tossing a suit in which the couple tried to profit off their allegedly violent relationship.
Back in December 2012, Maribel Gonzalezꦍ-Mosso Jimenez told hospital workers, EMTs, domes♕tic-abuse counselors and cops that her husband, Patricio, came home drunk and beat her.
Patricio was charged with assault𓆉, but the rap was dismissed after Maribel recanted.
Scheindlin was outraged by what came next: Patricio sued the city for false arrest. She fined the couple and lawyer🎃 Gregory Mouton nearly $20,000 a꧋nd tossed the husband’s 2014 suit.
