Police𒁏 are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Flatbush-Ditmas Park this month. A suspect walked into the Chase branch on Foster Avenue 𝔉near Marlborough Road at about 11 a.m. on March 5, cops said. He handed a demand note to a teller and escaped with $2,000, according to police.
Two men robbed an elderly, off-duty NYPD school crossing guard of her tax check in Williamsburg, police sources said. The 74-year-old victim was at Broadway and L♉eonard Street at 3:45 p.m. Thursday when the thugs approached from behind and knocked her to the ground, according to the sources. With the stunned woman down, the duo snatched the check from her hand, cops said. No arrests have been made and the victim could not provide a description of the suspe𓃲cts.
Manhattan
A punk broke the nose of a 50-year-old woman when he whacked her in the face with his skateboard on board a subway train in Greenwich Village, police sources said. An argument erupted between the two aboard an uptown F train nearing the West Fourth Street station at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect, 18-year-old Demarco White of Queens, hit her in the nose and tried to flee, sources said. But fast-acting passengers made sure the suspect didn’t get away, restraining him until transit cops arrived.
🀅White was arrested and charged with assault. The victim was treated at Lenox Hill Hospital, officials said.
A 23-year-old man is in serious condition after being shot inside a Harlem barbershop, cops said. A gunman — who cops sayౠ appeared to be in his 40s, bald and wearing a white jacket — shot the victim in the neck inside the Wilton Beauty Salon and Barbershop on Amsterdam Avenue near West 140th Street just after 10 p.m. Thursday. A person of🍸 interest is in custody for questioning, cops said.
A 65-year-old man was shot in Hamilton Heights Friday afternoon, policeဣ said. The victim and his shooter knew each other and were rivals for the affections of the same woman, according to a neighbor, 48-year-old José Conception. The shooter “was waiting for the guy all day, and when he came out of the building, he shot him” Conception said. The victim was shot once in the back an🔯d five times in the legs and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital where he was in stable condition, police said. Police were searching for the suspect, a man in his 40s, who fled toward Riverside Park.
Queens
Four young men, including a 15-year-old boy, were slashed in a Jamaica knife fight, police said. The group of men, ranging in age from 15 to 22, got into the blade battle during some sort of major dispute in Rufus King Park at 153rd Street and 90th Road at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, cops said. The 15-year-old boy was slashed on the left hand, a 19-year-old man suffered slash wounds to the face, right hand and torso, another 19-yeꦺar-old was cut in the right side of the face and torso, and the 22-year-old was slashed once across the face, police said. The victims were all listed in stable condition at local hospitals. The suspects fled the scene, police said.
A knife-wielding brute bashed in a car window and stabbed the man sitting inside three times in the Murray Hill section of Flushing early Friday, police sources said. The 24-year-old victim told cops that he was sitting in the car parked in a parking lot on Northern Boulevꦏard near 160th Street at about 1:30 a.m. when the suspect broke the rear window and stabbed the victim once in the ribs and twice in the arm before running off, sources said. The injured man was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens in stable condition. It was immediately not known if the victim and the suspect knew each other.
Staten Island
A 19-year-old ಞwoman thwarted a robbery attempt in Port Richmond, police said. A knife-wielding suspect approached the woman on Dubois Avenued at about 5:40 p.m. on March 4, police said. He demanded money, but the intrepid woman knocked the knife out of his hand and fled, authorities said.
