ALBANY – Attorney General Eric S🧔chneiderman’s chief of staff is running for Sen. Adriano Espaillat seat in Upper Manhattan, The Po⛎st has learned.
Micah Lasher’s departure from 💞Schneiderman’s office ﷽was announced in his office late Wednesday.
Deputy chief of staff, and former advisor to Mayor Bloomberg, Brian Mahanna will fill Lasher’s spot in an acting role, sources said.
During the announcement, Schneiderman𓄧 sang Lasher’s praises, for his “progressive principles.”
Lasher🐷 was the executive director of StudentsFirstNY, a pro-charter school and education reform group before becoming Bloomberg’s Albany liaison.
Earlier this year, he pollꦚed voters in Espai🉐llat’s district to gauge his ratings.
The seat was once held by Schneiderman. The district includes Hell’s Kitchen, the Upper West Side, West Harlem, Washington Heig💝hts and Inwood.
