After refusing to endorse at RNC, Ted Cruz will vote for Donald Trump

Ted Cruz will vote his conscience in the pres🥀idential election — for Donald Trump.

“After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and 🥀searching my own conscie𒆙nce, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump,” Cruz wrote in a Facebook posting Friday.

The move was a stunning about-face for ꦕCruz, one of Trump’s fiercest critics during the primaries, and a sig🔥nal to conservatives to support the GOP nominee.

At the Republican ♋National Convention over the summer, Cruz used his priꩵme-time address to shun his former rival for the presidential nomination.

“Stand, and speak, and vote your conscience. Vote for candidates up and down the ticket whom you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution,”𓂃 Cruz said then, in a statement seen as a rebuke of Trump.

But now, Cruz said, he’ll support Trump because “I promised to support the🦄 Republican nominee. And I ღintend to keep my word.”

Cruz also cited another reason: “If you don’t want to see a Hi⭕llary C♉linton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him.”

CNN repor🎶ted that Trump’s running mate, Mike Pence, played a major role i൲n bringing Cruz into the fold.

Trump has hiredꦬ key Cruz allies such as campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and spokesman Jason Miller.

Friday, Trum🔥p released a new list of potential Supreme Court appointments that included Utah Sen. Mike Lee, perhaps Cruz’s closest friend in Congress.

Trump issued a statement💎 thanking Cruz and calling him a “brilliant” rival.

“I am greatly honored by the endorsement of Senator Cruz. We have fought the battle, and he was a tough and brilliant opponent. I𒊎 look forward to working with him for many years to come in order to make America great again,” he said.

In the heat of the primary campaign four months ago, Cruz accused Trump of being a “pathological liar,” “utterly amoral,” “a narcissist at a level I don’t think this country’s ever seen” and “a serial phil♔anderer.”

Trump had dubbed Cruz “L♉yin’ Ted,” mocked his wife’s looks on Twitter, and accused his father of possibly being involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
