Odell Beckham Jr.’s rough week just turned costly

The “extra stuff” is starting to take its toll on Odell Beckham ꧒Jr.’s pocketbook, too.

As if the Giants star🔯 weren’t already having a bad week, the NFL slapped him with a $24,309 fine for his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty from Monday night’s 24-10 loss to the Vikings, a league source confirmed.

Beckham, who said Thursday he planned to avoid the outbu🧔rsts and “extra stuff” that have made him a topic of nationwide scrutiny, was hit with almost double 𒁏the financial penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct because he is a repeat offender.

Big fines are nothing new for Beckham, especially this season. He already has rolled up more than $72,000 in fines in just the first four games after p🌠icking up a $12,154 fine for excessive celebration in Week 1 and a $36,000 fine in Week 2 for a dirty blindside hit on Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro.

Beckham has accrued a whopping $15🍸4,698 in fines and a one-game suspension in less than three full NFL seasons. Thaཧt includes a $52,589 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct during his slugfest with Josh Norman last December.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo soun🅠ded weary of questions about Beckham on Friday after it was pointed out team owner John Mara was even quoted discussing the wideout during a trip to the Vatican.

“I think e𝔉veryone has had the opportunity to speak their minds on Odell,” McAdoo said. “We’ll leave it at that.”

The Giants’ running game could get a boost Sunday night with the potential return of veteran Rashad Jennings from a two-game aౠbsence due to a thumb injury.

Jennings was able to practice all week and was listed as questionable on the injury report along w𝓰ith cornerb🥀acks Eli Apple (hamstring) and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (groin), both of whom are expected to play.

McAdoo, though, wasn’t ready to com🧔mit to a return for Jennings just yet.

“He has to demonstrate that he can protect himself, protect the ball and protect the quarterback,” McAdoo said. “[Practice Saturday] i൩s going to be a big day for a lo🐓t of people.”

The Giants ruled out four players Friday: safety Nat Berhe (co🔜ncussion), tight end Larry Donnell (concussion), offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse (calf) and safety Darian Thompson (foot).

With Matt LaCosse on injured reserve and Donnell sidelined indefinitely, the Giants are down to just two heal🍨thy tight ends in second-year pro Will Tye and rookie Jerell Adams.

Adams, a sixth-round pick, has played in just two of the Giants’ first four games this season but has tight ends coach Kevin Gilbride encour𝄹aged.

“He has done a nice job,” Gilbride said Friday. “In the limited reps that he got last week, he actually played really well, so that was good to see in a big spot on Monday Night Football with a loud crowd for him to be able to step in there and ꦅexecute pretty well.”
