Cops nab suspect in college tennis player’s hit-and-run death

Cops have busted the hit-and-run driver who allegedly killeౠd a Binghamton University student ꧒from Queens over the weekend, a report says.

Aizaz Siddiqui, 26, was charged Thursday with leaving 💃the scene of a personal injury♚ accident resulting in a death, according to the Press & Sun-Bulletin.

He is accused of mowing down 20-year-old Stefani Lineva with his car sometime before 2 👍a.m. Saturday, which is when her body was found lying against a concrete median in the middle of Route 434 in Binghamton.

The Fo﷽rest Hills High School graduate was pronounced dead upoไn arriving at the hospital.

During a press conference on Thursday afternoon, police officials described how Lineva’s injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle and how the incident was still being considered a hit-and-run.

They said a tip had led them straight to Siddiqui on Wednesday night after “working every lead” in the case.

“Nothing to substantiate a conspiracy theory that perhaps she was killed someplace else,” an official explained. “We are confident this was a hit-and-run. It’s a hit-and-run, nothing to a conspiracy theory.”

Siddiqui pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Thursday afternoon and was re🅰manded with bail, according to the Sun-Bulletin.

Officials said there was no evidence indicating that he was drunk or struck Lineva on purpose. They added that while he wasn’t alone in the car at the time, he was definitely behind the wheel.

It is still unclear where 🌺Siddiqui was driving to at 𓄧the time of the hit-and-run.

Officials said that Lineva — who was a member of Binghamton’s tennis team — appeared to be intoxicated when she was struck and killed.
