Police arrest young couple after Times Square stabbing

Police have nabbed a suspect and his pal in connection to a stabbing over the weekend near the Madame Tussauds wax♊ museum in Times Square, cops said.

Pedro Nieves Diaz, 23, was arrested Monday night after he alleged🌱ly stabbed two people during a fight in front of the museum on 42nd Street on Sunday around 2:15 a.m.

Diaz, of Utica, N.Y., was charged with attempted murder, second-degre✤e assault, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon iꦿn the fourth degree, cops said.

The suspect’s friend, Ashley Arcuri, 19, of Rome, N.Y., was also arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, according to police.

They were💟 both nabbed in the Times Square area when officers recognized Diaz from a wanted flier, cops said.

The two victims, both﷽ 25, were out celebrating a birthday at Hooters and later met Diaz and Arcuri, cops said. The couple asked the victims what kind of drugs they like, 🌠and they said marijuana, according to police.

Then the victims got into a fight with Diaz, who eventually p🐎ulled out a knife and stabbed one in the chest, leaving h💯im critically injured. The other male victim was stabbed in the shoulder and was listed in stable condition.

One of the victims told patrol of𒐪ficers that the suspect tried to get them to give him $40, but investigators weren’t buying their story, sources said.

The fight may have st💫emmed from something that happened between the woman and the 🐻victims, sources said.
