Denis O’Hare covets sex scene with ‘AHS’ co-star

This is Us

Tuesday, 9 p.m., NBC
The fall season finale of ā€œThis Is Usā€ was the seriesā€™ most dramatic episode to date. Kateā€™s (Chrissy Metz) boyfriend Toby šŸ’¦(Chris Sullivan) keeled over in Randallā€™s (Sterling K. Brown) living room on Christmas Eve. Iāœƒf that wasnā€™t enough, William (Ron Cephas Jones) went to an AA meeting and met an old friend ā€” a lover heā€™d run out on.

Denis Oā€™Hare, who has played multiple crazy roles on ā€œAmerican Horror Story,ā€ šŸ¼joined the cast in a recurring role as Jessie, an Englishman whom William had met in the 12-step program. When the show resumes this Tuesday, Jessie begins to spend more time with terminally ill William, and poor Randall, the shock absorber of the series, has one more adjustment to make in his constantly changing life.

Oā€™Hare, 54, spoke to The Post about his role from Santiago, Chiź¦”le, where he is perforź¦…ming in a one-man show called ā€œAn Illiad,ā€ based on Homerā€™s famous poem about the fall of Troy.

Had you worked with Ron Cephas Jones?
Iā€™ve known him for years. We had crossed paths in London a long time ago when I was doing a play called ā€œTake Me Outā€ and he was doing a play called ā€œJesšŸŽƒušŸ²s Hopped the A Train.ā€ Iā€™ve written a play about the Bible called ā€œThe Good Bookā€ and we were desperate to get Ron to do a reading of it. So it was ironic that I ended up working with him.

How many episodes will you be in?
Iā€™ve done two. I love the show. I love Sterling. And I watched it because Chrissy Metz was in ā€œAmerican Horror Story: Freak Show.ā€ I love what theā™yā€™re doing structurally. Itā€™s refreshing in the age of cynicism to have a show about sentiment and peopleā€™s hunger for meaning.

Jessie has a distinctive accent. Where is he from?
I can see Jessie coming from London. I used Martin Freeman oź§‚f ā€œSherlockā€ as my model. I love his accent. Itā€™s an everyday, common-Joe sound as opposed to a Hugh Grant posh accent.

Will you be coming back to ā€œAmerican Horror Storyā€?
Well, [creator] Mr. [Ryan] Murphy is so enigmatic,šŸŒƒļ·ŗ so I donā€™t know. I have faith Iā€™ll be back. I love working with him. The writers and I get along very well. But I never knew who Liz Taylor [the character he played on ā€œAmerican Horror Story: Hotelā€] was going to be until a few episodes in.

Do you have a favorite season of ā€œAHSā€?
Itā€™s hard for me to say. Obviously ā€œHotelā€ was a really exciting storyline. I got to be naked with Finn Wittrock;ā™ whatā€™s wrong with that? I love Spalding of ā€œCovenā€ because of his crazy life in the attic.
