One more tunnel gets cashless tolling in NYC

There’s finally light at the end of the tunnel.

Motorists without an E-ZPass will no ওlonger have to stop to fork over cash to pay the toll at the Hugh L. Carey/Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel.

They’ll be c🥀harged via license-plate readers that will generate a bill sent to the registeredཧ vehicle owner.

Crews tore down the Brooklyn tollbooths Saturday, the start 🌠of the transition to cashless tolls on every crossing overseen by MTA Bridges and Tunnels.

Ca🅺shless tolling begins at the Queens Midtown Tunnel Tuesday, then the Rockaway Br﷽idges in the spring.

Next are the RFK/Triborough and Verrazano bridges in the summer, and the Throgs Neck and Bronx-Whitestone brid﷽ges in the fall as the new system is installed.
